2017 Women for Water Gathering

Over 80 women from across the state gathered on November 17 in Des Moines to explore their shared values around clean water in Iowa. The Women for Water Gathering brought a network of Iowa women together who care about water quality and the health of Iowa's rivers, lakes and streams. The half-day program featured diverse speakers and discussions from women with a broad range of personal and professional experiences with water and advocacy, including an Iowa whitewater surfer, Hurricane Katrina and Cedar Rapids flood survivor, conservation farmers, and city and county elected officials.
